Bio: Prof. Shridhar R. Gadre is a renowned Indian scientist specializing in computational quantum and theoretical chemistry. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Pune, followed by a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Professor Gadre’s research focuses on molecular scalar fields, quantum chemical calculations, and the development of algorithms for large molecular systems. He pioneered the Molecular Tailoring Approach, significantly advancing computational chemistry. A Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the Indian National Science Academy, he has authored over 220 research articles and mentored numerous students. His accolades include the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Chemical Sciences (1993) and the J.C. Bose National Fellowship (2007).
