National Mathematics Day celebrations were conducted at SRIBS on 19 December 2024, honouring the legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan. The program was conducted in association with the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE), National Council for Science & Technology Communication (NCSTC), and Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India.
The District level program, aimed at college students of Kottayam district included a quiz competition named Maths Mental Challenge, an Idea pitching competition and a Poster presentation competition. The SRIBS Ever rolling trophy for the best performing college was awarded to St. Berchman’s College, Changanassery. The competitions were followed by the SRIBS Seminar titled “Ramanujan’s legacy in modern cryptography”, delivered by Dr. Adersh V. K., TKM College of Arts & Science, Kollam.
